The Fee-based Report—Branch Advice Evolves and Fee-based Along With It
It’s been more than two decades since the branch advice (BA) channel emerged on the wealth management landscape focusing on the mass affluent client segment. Over this period, BA has grown significantly to command a large percentage of Canadian household wealth. Much of this success can be attributed to a diverse suite of products that promote exclusivity and market participation. As the demand for fee transparency has grown, so too has the requirements for solutions that provide fee flexibility and meet the needs of a diverse set of investors.
This research article looks at the growing use of fee-based programs in the BA channel compared to other major channels as well as the different types of fee-based programs employed within the BA institutions.
