Examining the Challenges of Attracting Women to the Full-Service Brokerage Channel
This issue of the Retail Brokerage and Distribution Report provides an update on our continued research of female advisors in the full-service brokerage channel (FSB), the impediments to reaching parity, and how firms are addressing these challenges.
In our previous Women in Brokerage Report in 2015, women comprised only 15% of full-service brokerage (FSB) advisors, a significantly lower percentage than female advisors in similar channels. As women’s financial influence has grown, firms are even more focused on efforts to attract women to the FSB channel to ensure their teams are diverse and representative of the clients they serve. This updated analysis shines a spotlight on the continued challenges firms face in attracting women to the channel and the initiatives they have undertaken to drive change.
