Insight Investment Funds Report November 2024—A Slow and Uneven Recovery for Investment Funds
Investment funds experienced a long stretch of market volatility and net redemptions in recent years. A dearth of household savings and the diminished appetite for risk-taking had a direct negative impact on sales and asset growth since 2022. While 2024 began with renewed hopes, the year thus far has delivered an uneven recovery for mutual funds. The environment has been more positive for ETFs, however, as a growing number of advisors and self-directed investors embrace the product.
