Across the globe, retail investment fund management fees have been under pressure over the last decade. The downward trend in investment fund fees occurred through two concurrent avenues. The first was the wave of reductions of fund management fees by asset managers. The second was the growing presence of relatively lower-priced investment fund options (think index-trackers or unbundled fee series).
