The end of 2019 marked 10 years following the 2009 financial crisis and the longest-running bull market the world has seen. While there have been many changes in the insurance industry during this time; several key themes remained predominant throughout. The March issue of the Insurance Advisory Service focuses on select topics currently developing in the insurance landscape and compares results over a 10-year period. Areas of focus include changes in the use of directly-managed and wrapped funds, redemption trends, shifting preferences in terms of guarantee levels and sales charge options.
